Hiding is a static action, not allowing for any movement once hidden.
As per the rules any attack made from hiding (hit or miss) will reveal the position of the attacker and cancel their hidden status. There is at least one feat the changes this rule, and will apply accordingly.
Stealth is a moving action, allowing a character to remain unseen while moving.
As mentioned in the rules it is almost impossible to approach an adversary in combat, while maintaining a stealth status. Unique situations could overrule this general principle.
